Counter Machines - Machines designed for counting pills, tablets, capsules, or other products and dispensing them into containers of bottles. Counters can use different methods to count the proper number of pills or tablets.

Slat counters use devices called slat that have pockets within the slat that accept one and only one tablet. As the slats get processed through the machine, the tablet within the pocket is discharged into a waiting container. Final tablet count is based on the number of slats that are processed. Disc counters are similar to slat counters in that disc counters use pockets within a disc to count out the proper amount of tablets. Disc counters are much less complicated than slat counters, but have lower production capacities.

Electric eye counters and track counters utilize photo electric eyes or other sensors to count the number of pills that fall through the sensor’s path. The difference between disc counters, track counters, and electric eye counts is based on the way they feed the tablets to the detection sensor. Electric eye counters use the rotation of a small disc to feed tablets passed the sensor one at a time. Track counters use the vibration of one or multiple tracks to feed tablets passed the count one at a time.

Parts counters are designed to count parts, components, or other such small objects. Parts counters usually employ a vibratory bowl to feed the parts past a photo electric eye one at a time. Parts counters can be integrated to a number of container lines and can be used to fill a number of different packages including bags, pouches, bottles, cartons.
