CASE SEALER -

Case Sealer or case sealing equipment is designed to seal cases using either tape or glue. Case sealer equipment can have many different capabilities depending on the application the particular case sealer was designed for beyond tape and glue sealing.

Case Sealers can be either automatic or semi-automatic. Automatic refers to a case sealer that automatically closes the minor and major top flaps for an open case. Semi-automatic case sealers require that the minor and major top flaps be closed prior to being processed by the case sealer. Case sealer equipment can also be uniform or random.

Uniform Case Sealers are designed to be manually adjusted for a specific case size and will only seal that size of case until an operator adjusts the machine for a different size case. Random case sealers are designed to automatically “read” the size of the case and adjust to the new case size that has arrived at the machine. As a general rule, uniform case sealers will have a greater output than random case sealers.
