TAPER CASE SEALER -

Taper Case Sealers or case sealing tapers are designed to seal cases using tape. Case sealing tapers can be designed as automatic or semi-automatic machines. Case sealing tapers can be designed to handle uniformly sized cases or random case sizes.

Case sealing tapers can be designed to tape seal the bottom, the top, or both the top and bottom of a case. Case sealing tapers can also be designed with side case driving belts, bottom case driving belts, or top and bottom case driving belts.

Automatic Case Sealing Tapers are designed to close the minor and major top flaps of a case entering the machine. The top flaps of the case are then sealed by the automatic case sealing taper. Semi-automatic case sealing tapers are designed to take in a case with the minor and major flaps of the top of the case already close. The semi-automatic case sealing taper then seals the top of the case with a strip of tape.

Though semi-automatic case tapers most often require an operator to close the minor and major flaps of the top of the case, the term semi-automatic is miss leading in this instance. The semi-automatic case taper would handle that case automatically if a previous machine already closed the case being fed to the semi-automatic case taper.
